I just went to the hospital to see my friend Leslie and her new little baby boy. Leslie, Kim and I have been getting together to pray for our babies since very early in our pregnancies but it seems so surreal to see one of the babies outside!!!
It was very strange to see him so sturdy and beautiful and then to see her without a pregnant belly! It's such a dream come true!
I don't know why this has caught me by surprise. I have other friends who have been expecting and then I see their babies but it was before I was pregnant so I never thought about it too much.
I feel Lucy kick and punch and have hiccups but I just can't imagine her outside of the womb. Seeing Leslie's baby made me realize there's really a baby in there and she'll be coming out at some point. Yikes!
