If you've ever seen the show Friday Night Lights, you know that high school football is SERIOUS business in Texas.
This is especially true in small Texan towns like Lumberton, where we live. We took the Slaviks to the Friday night game while they were here and we had a blast to say the least. It's surreal to see the ENTIRE town in a football stadium, all decked out in Raider spirit gear to support these kids. I've been to quite a few college level football games but have never seen so many people having so much fun like they were at this game.
I guess that's part of what makes Texas so unique... family is all there is here and these kids sure know that.... between band, cheerleaders, players, varsity and every other age, there were a few hundred children participating and it's awesome to see how well supported they are by everyone. It was a real treat to be there. I see many many Friday night games in the future of this family.
A car-ful of RAIDER fans all ready for the game!

So much energy in that field when the game is starting...
