Hot Date Tonight!

Jimbo and I have a movie and dinner date (at home) tonight! We've been patiently waiting for this one movie to arrive from Netflix (Two for the Money with Matthew McConaughey) and it finally got here so I am making a nice pasta dinner and finishing all my chores early so we can have a relaxing evening of quality time. The weather here has been horrible and it will probably rain tonight (again!) so it will be nice to be home hybernating. Tomorrow we have a coed baby shower for my friend Kim and a housewarming party for our friend's Marc and Elisa followed by Salsa dancing at a place near their home. Should be fun!!

Things have been busy lately between the childbirth prep classes, work, getting the nursery ready and tons of social activities and trips so it's nice that things are starting to slow down. I hope we can take the time to really enjoy these last couple of months alone before we become parents. Surely things will be completely different after she's here.

On a separate note, we started our landscape renovation project this week. We are breaking the design up into three phases. We are installing the big trees first since we want them to go ahead and start growing and hopefully next year we can do phase two which is the concrete work (pathways and such) and maybe a year later phase three, the big lawn. Breaking it up helps deal with the cost. It would be too much to do it all at once. We will be doing a lot of the work ourselves but for this first part we hired our neighbor who is a landscape contractor 'cause there was too much demolition and heavy lifting. I'll post some pictures as soon as this first part is complete.

Hope everyone has some fun weekend plans!!
