Perfectly organized craft supplies in my cabinet...
A child eager to learn how to draw neatly and stay within the lines... (in case you can't tell, that's her version of a happy face, except her mouths don't smile yet)
A child with an acute attention to detail...
Beautiful/ Fun crafts she could play with and wear...
Creating memories that would last us a long time...
A drawer full of those memories...
Chubby crab hands...
Plastic sleeves to protect all those treasures...
permission to laugh at me GRANTED... but I can't help it people, it's my curse gift and my first child... I bet the second one will humble me!

Can we please hire you?? I haven't even kept up with Elizabeth's memory book. Love you sis! You are doing such a great job and best of all, with lots of love.
Say hello to my favorite Texan girls for me :-)
I didn't stay home until my second. For Josh I don't have binder of artwork (great idea I may need to use)but two large wonderful scrapbooks. That was my thing years ago. No scrapbook or binder for Ethan and Megans. This is an awesome post. I will have to reread once the kids go to bed. Very Cool!!!
Is all that art from the MDO group???
Her MDO gave me the idea to put stuff on binders 'cause they did that with all the artwork she did with them and gave it to me on the last day of school. The stuff in these pics is what we've done at home or what she's done at church on Sundays. - D.
Haha! We suffer from the same curse! I have a labeled craft closet (re-used ice cream buckets that Joe sacrificed his waistline to empty for me- ha) and each kids has art binders, plus we have a corkboard art display area and scrapbooks for the kids as well. (But I am behind on Ella's). I also take pics of artwork that does not fit in the binder but I don't always keep every single thing. My mom kept EVERYTHING of mine and it was so overwhelming when I was in college and she dumped like 18 years of every paper I ever touched on my doorstep. Now they are all like 30 year old drawings and I feel like I have to keep them all at this point... so keep that in mind, saving too much means your child will have boxes in her garage forever (or it seems that way for me). :) And keep up the awesome work and art projects!!!- leslie
Y'all are so sweet! I was expecting comments more along the lines of "quit bragging and get a life!" :)
Les - I am not keeping EVERYTHING, absolute not! I'm keeping a sampling of her stuff.. that's why the binders are so thin. Taking pics of the cute things that don't make it to the binders is a great idea. Lovin' the empty ice cream buckets too! Keep them coming... I'm a sponge and always looking for ways to do it better.
