The Simple Woman's Daybook

It's been a while since I've written anything... so here's a little something.  This from The Simple Woman's Daybook.  Will add a link to her blog later.

Outside my window...
a foggy, cold Fall Texas morning

I am thinking...
I wish I was more disciplined

I am thankful for...
the little extra wisdom I am given every passing year and how I feel I am closer to getting it "right" this year for Christmas... minus the premature decorating.

I am wearing...
jammies and my yummy purple robe

I am remembering...
Olive. She would have been two this month. How I wish I was buying her some pretty pink camu outift for her birthday in true Waltenburg fashion.

I am going...
to avoid stressing this week...

I am reading...
the third and last book in the Mark of the Lion Series by Francies Rivers and Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis

I am hoping...
to be blessed with a productive day Today despite my lack of planning. Trying to remember Jeremiah 29:11 from The Message "I know what I am doing. I have it all planned out...". You've got a plan for my day Lord. I bet it's better than mine. Bring it on!

On my mind...
our upcoming 12-hour drive to New Mexico

From the learning rooms...
Finished up all things Letter K last week and focusing on teaching about thankfulness this week

Noticing that...
I have great peace this morning

From the kitchen...
Leftover pork, apple and butternut squash soup... the ultimate fall soup!

Around the house...
a bit embarrassed to admit the tree is up and ready, lights are installed outside the house and halls pretty much decked. Wanted to come back to a Christmas ready home after being out of town for Thanksgiving but I'm realizing this might have been a bit premature...

One of my favorite things...

Jenna's breastmilk breath as she chews on my nose this morning

From my picture journal...

The girls playing with their collection of Hallmark animated snowmen. Their Granny buys them one every year.... it's their little tradition, so sweet!

Love this post! Also loving that I'm not the only one itching to get out the Christmas decorations. They would already be up except I promised hubby we'd do it as a family on Thanksgiving day, since he'll be home with us. No big plans for us for Thanks day this year, but we have a packed December so I'm happy to spend a weekend at home before the fun and chaos.
