Things are looking up

I spoke with Danaly this morning (she has cell phone coverage now!) and she sounded great. The sky was clear, weather in the 60's with no humidity, and all the kids on her block were playing outside. Her neighbors have really come together and have made this so much easier on her. Everyone has a house generator and when they get together they will turn on all the lights. There is a woman on her street whose children are grown and she has been making dinner for EVERYONE for a few days. What a blessing! I told Danaly that would be her if her kids were grown. My husband joked and said "That will be Danaly next Tuesday!". If she could I know she would have everyone over for meals. However, food is not easy to come by right now. She has lots of canned goods, but the grocery stores aren't carrying any perishables yet. Toddlers can be picky eaters so pray for grace for little Lulu as she has to eat what's available!

They were afraid Jim would have to work nights but fortunately there are enough single guys working the night shifts that the guys who have families are able to go home to them. They are also optimistic that the power will be on soon.

Thanks for your continued prayers!

Kim
